About Talita

Talita is a Brazilian dance and movement educator with more than 20 years of experience teaching partner and social dance in Brazil, Spain, and Aotearoa New Zealand. She began her training in 2003, studying intensively in styles such as Samba, Salsa, Forró, Bolero, Tango, Soltinho, and Zouk, and went on to complete several specialised teacher-training programmes and co-found a large dance school in Brazil with over 450 students. Talita is known for her clear, structured and beginner-friendly teaching style, which also offers depth and musicality for more experienced dancers. In her classes she weaves in simple mindful movement and grounding practices to support confidence, connection, and general wellbeing. Her sessions are welcoming to all levels and are educational and non-clinical, with a focus on helping people feel safe, expressive, and at home in their bodies through dance.
